The Beginning

I’m not entirely sure how to start because this is a new journey for me, writing a blog that is. I’ve always wanted to give it a try, so here goes. (Fair warning I’m sure my grammar will be dreadful but just stay with me here)

I’m a mostly stay at home mom to a two year old and a six week old, so my life can get pretty crazy at times. But just like anything in life there is the good and bad. Why just yesterday my two year old took off her diaper and ran around the house just because she could. The second I turned my back she ended up peeing on the floor- the bad. However after her bath she gave me the biggest hug and told me she loved me- the good. As any parent can attest there are days like this, the give and take of good and bad. Parenting is hard no matter the circumstances. There are days when my frustration can be at an all time high, but the second my daughter tells me she loves me I just melt.

Parenting can be funny as well, their remarks to just about anything are hilarious. My daughter and I can have funny face contests, sometimes my six week old joins in as well.  She also finds some sick enjoyment out of sitting on my lap and farting… *sigh* girls.

Throughout it all though I love being a mom and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

But no matter how hard you try, how many books you read, you can’t ever be prepared to be a parent. You can’t predict how you will act when your child is sick for the first time or what you will do if they choke on something they were eating. Nothing prepares you until you are neck deep in it, even then you don’t know what the hell you are doing. Its all about living and learning.

To those other parents out there, you got this- the good the bad and the funny.
